A) Special Delivery Rules for Fresh Vegetables & Fruits (Perishable Items)
1. Delivery Time (Fresh items)
Fresh products are time-sensitive and require faster delivery:
Same city: within 4–24 hours
Nearby locations: within 1–2 days
❗ Standard long-distance timelines (3–10 days) do not apply to fresh produce.
2. Quality Check & Complaint Window
The buyer must check the fresh items at the time of delivery.
If there is an issue related to freshness, spoilage, or damage, the buyer must report it within 12 hours of delivery with proof (photos/videos).
3. Packaging for Fresh Produce
Items will be packed in breathable trays, crates, or net/mesh bags.
No artificial preservatives, chemical coatings, or cosmetic treatments will be used.
Natural freshness will be maintained during transit.
4. Non-returnable Fresh Items
The following fresh perishable items cannot be returned:
Leafy vegetables
Cut vegetables
Fresh fruits
Sprouts
Seasonal tender greens
Items that naturally lose moisture or freshness over time
5. Liability for Perishable Items
Buycrop.in functions as a facilitator between farmer and buyer.Primary responsibility for the quality of fresh produce lies with the farmer/vendor.However, Buycrop.in will assist in dispute resolution when necessary.
B) Dry & Packaged Agro Products – Normal Delivery Terms
1. Delivery Availability
Currently we deliver products based on availability and serviceability areas within India.
All deliveries are subject to product stock, quantity, and distance from farmer to buyer.
2. Delivery Time
Delivery timelines may vary depending on the location and type of product.
Typically, deliveries take:
Within the city / nearby areas: 1 – 4 working days
Within the state: 3 – 7 working days
Inter-state: 5 – 10 working days
These timelines may vary due to transport delays, weather conditions, or operational challenges.
3. Shipping Charges
Shipping fees, when applicable, will be clearly displayed at the time of checkout.
Some products may include Free Delivery promotions when specified.
4. Packaging & Handling
Products are packaged by farmers/vendors and/or Buycrop.in authorized partners.
Care is taken to maintain cleanliness, safety, and freshness of agro-products during transit.
5. Delivery Method
We may use:

Third-party logistics providers
Direct farmer-to-buyer delivery where applicable (in local areas)
6. Order Tracking
Buyers may receive communication through SMS / WhatsApp / email regarding order confirmation and delivery status.
Real-time tracking features may be introduced in future phases of the platform.
7. Delivery Attempts & Buyer Responsibility
Our delivery partner will make reasonable attempts to deliver the product.
If the buyer is unavailable during delivery attempts, additional visits may incur extra delivery charges.
8. Damaged / Missing Products during Delivery
If a product is damaged during transit or significantly different from what was ordered, buyers must contact us within 24 hours of delivery along with proof (photo / video evidence).
We will facilitate resolution through replacement / refund depending on the situation.
9. Non-Deliverable Locations
If a delivery location becomes unreachable or unserviceable after order placement, we reserve the right to cancel the order and refund the amount if already paid.
10. Local Pickup (future feature)
In certain locations, buyers may be provided an option to directly pick up goods from designated collection points or farmers.
